Part A in 2026
Part A is premium-free for most people (those with 40+ quarters of Medicare-taxed work). The Part A hospital deductible applies per benefit period. Skilled-nursing daily coinsurance and hospital coinsurance after day 60 also apply. A licensed agent walks through the exact figures CMS publishes each fall.
Part B in 2026
Most beneficiaries pay the standard Part B premium plus an annual deductible. Higher-income beneficiaries pay an IRMAA surcharge on top — based on the IRS modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) from two years prior. If your income has dropped since then, we can show you how to appeal IRMAA.

Part D and the $2,000 cap
The Inflation Reduction Act capped Medicare Part D out-of-pocket prescription spending at $2,000 a year starting in 2025 — and that cap continues in 2026 (indexed annually). It's the biggest cost protection added to Medicare in a generation, especially for people on expensive specialty drugs. Beneficiaries can also opt into the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan to spread that $2,000 across the year.
Medicare Advantage and Medigap
Medicare Advantage plan premiums and max out-of-pocket limits are set by each carrier and change every January. Medigap premiums vary by plan letter (G, N, etc.), age, and carrier. We re-shop these every fall to make sure you're not overpaying.
