Key Medicare enrollment windows

  • Annual Enrollment Period (AEP): Oct 15 – Dec 7. Change Medicare Advantage or Part D plans. New coverage starts Jan 1.
  • Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment (OEP): Jan 1 – Mar 31. One change allowed if you're already in a Medicare Advantage plan.
  • Medigap Open Enrollment: Your one-time 6-month window starting when you're 65 and have Part B.
